Vietnam Manufacturing and Automation Fairs Draw 850 Exhibitors in Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam’s manufacturing and automation sector is drawing stronger international participation, with more than 850 exhibitors joining VIMF and VIAF 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Vietnam Industrial and Manufacturing Fair (VIMF 2026) and the Vietnam Industrial Automation Fiesta (VIAF 2026) opened on 17 June, bringing together manufacturers, technology suppliers and industrial experts from around the world.

The exhibitions feature 1,000 booths from 850 exhibitors across 25 countries and territories, while the total exhibition area has expanded by 30% compared with the previous edition.

Automation, Robotics and AI Take Centre Stage

The two exhibitions showcase technologies across manufacturing engineering, precision machining, industrial equipment, automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, production management and smart logistics.

One of the main highlights is the Industry 4.0 Experience Zone, which presents applications involving AI, Industrial Internet of Things technologies and new-generation robotics.

The focus reflects Vietnam’s wider manufacturing shift towards more connected and automated production environments as local companies invest in technologies that can improve productivity, quality and operational efficiency.

Smart Factory Development Gains Attention

Alongside the exhibition, specialised seminars are covering topics including AI adoption in manufacturing, smart factory automation and the development of Vietnam’s supporting industries.

These areas are becoming increasingly important as Vietnam looks to strengthen its manufacturing competitiveness and move further into higher-value industrial production.

Automation, robotics and digital production systems are also gaining greater importance as manufacturers respond to rising labour costs, changing customer requirements and pressure to improve production consistency.

Connecting Vietnamese Manufacturers With Regional Suppliers

VIMF and VIAF also include business matching programmes designed to connect Vietnamese companies directly with technology suppliers from markets including Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China.

The programmes are intended to support technology sourcing, supply-chain expansion and new production and investment partnerships.

The events also provide local manufacturers with greater access to international suppliers of industrial equipment, automation systems and production technologies.

Business Matching Supports Technology Transfer

Results from the previous edition showed strong engagement from participating companies.

According to the organisers, 98% of participating businesses reported satisfaction with business matching outcomes, while contracts signed during the event exceeded VND100 billion, or approximately US$3.8 million.

The exhibitions are therefore increasingly serving not only as technology showcases but also as platforms for industrial cooperation, market expansion and technology transfer.

Vietnam’s Manufacturing Ecosystem Continues to Expand

The growing scale of VIMF and VIAF reflects continued interest in Vietnam as a manufacturing base within Asia-Pacific.

As manufacturers expand investment in automation, robotics, AI and smart factory systems, demand is also increasing for technologies that can improve production efficiency and strengthen local supply chains.

By connecting Vietnamese manufacturers with regional and international technology providers, VIMF and VIAF 2026 are supporting the development of a more connected and technology-driven industrial ecosystem.
