Quick Skim
Facility Operations And Capacity Expansion
The Johor facility, operated by subsidiary PRO3C (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, commenced production at the end of 2025 and plans to move into mass production in the first quarter of 2026. It currently runs eight surface-mount technology (SMT) production lines, with capacity expected to increase in line with customer orders and market development.
Integration With Singapore Operations
The establishment of the Johor plant is part of FICG’s Johor-Singapore Twinning Strategy, under which Johor focuses on manufacturing, engineering, and mass production. Meanwhile, an Innovation and supply chain centre planned for Singapore will manage innovation, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and international client engagement.
FICG chairman Leo Chien noted this approach leverages Johor’s manufacturing capabilities and Singapore’s strengths in innovation and global connectivity to build a more flexible and resilient regional platform.
Employment And Regional Expansion Support
Recruitment for the Johor facility will be phased according to production needs and business growth. Over time, combined operations in Malaysia and Singapore could create more than 1,000 jobs, depending on market demand and operational requirements.
FICG has also signed memoranda of understanding with AME Elite Consortium Bhd and Singapore’s JTC Corporation to facilitate regional expansion. Additionally, UOB is providing banking support for cross-border operations.
This development is set to enhance manufacturing capacity and supply chain integration in Southeast Asia’s AI and semiconductor sectors, which are critical to the region’s technology infrastructure.
